Dear Friends,

Greetings from Tibet House US. The fall schedule is almost finalized and will be available on the website and in the newsletter shortly. I write today to let you know about programs which have just lately been arranged for your enjoyment (or so we hope...) this weekend.

Concert of Tibetan Music with Chaksampa -- Saturday, Aug. 9th, 7-9 PM: Registration at the door on a "first come, first served" basis: $10 for Members and Tibetans | $15 for General Admission

Special Gallery Hours & and an Opportunity to visit with the Artist, Sohan Qadri -- Sunday, Aug 10th, 10AM-4PM: The artist currently showing in the gallery -- Transcending Duality: paintings by Sohan Qadri -- will be visiting us this weekend. We will be opening the gallery this Sunday, the 10th of August, from 10-6; and Mr. Qadri will be available for those who would like to meet him and/or ask questions relating to his work or to his Buddhist practice.
NB: Those interested in scheduling a private meeting/interview with the artist should contact me, Ganden Thurman, at Tibet House ((212) 807-0563 x113 or via email: gthurman@tibethouse.org) and I will make appropriate arrangements. Mr. Qadri will be here from the 9th to the 11th.

Dharma Talk and Guided Meditation with the Artist -- Sunday, Aug 10th, 4-6PM: Mr. Qadri will also be giving a brief talk on his experiences along the Tantric Buddhist Path, followed by a short film, and then a guided meditation. This program is free, although it would be much appreciated if people would be so kind as to call in to RSVP -- (212) 807-0563
